Hey, it's Matt, aka MattyMoe (@mattymoe.ai on Instagram and TikTok).

This week's news is mostly about getting your time back. ChatGPT can now read iCloud mail and calendars on every plan, Gemini added a set of tools for small business owners, and Oracle teamed up with OpenAI on a bundle with $12,000 a year in cloud credits. At the end there's a prompt that finds the customer emails you never answered and drafts the replies. It takes about 15 minutes.

This week in AI

ChatGPT can now read your iCloud email and calendar. If you run your business from an @icloud.com, @me.com or @mac.com address, ChatGPT can now find emails, catch you up on your inbox, check your schedule and update calendar events. That speeds up the last step of my routine for turning a sales call into a follow-up email: ChatGPT can pull up the customer's last message and your open times without you digging for them. OpenAI added it on October 27 for every plan, free included, on the web, the desktop app and iPhone (release notes).

Mail and Calendar connect separately, and each one needs an app-specific password from your Apple Account, MacRumors reports. ChatGPT only sees your iCloud mail, not Gmail or Outlook accounts that sit in the same Mail app.

For your business: connect it, then run the prompt at the bottom of this email. If your business email is on Gmail, ChatGPT already connects to Gmail and Google Calendar, so the prompt works for you too.

Gemini now has a section built for small businesses. Google says tens of millions of small business owners already use Gemini, and on October 20 it announced a business landing page inside the Gemini app. Three things come with it:

  • Connections to Google Business Profile, Google Ads and Google Workspace, plus Adobe, Canva, Dropbox, Shopify, Wix, Zoho and Xero.

  • A saved brand style. Upload your website, brand kit, fonts or colors once, and Gemini's image model keeps making graphics that match, so you stop re-uploading your logo every time.

  • Messy spreadsheets, receipts and purchase records turned into charts and simple financial models.

Google said it would reach every Gemini app user worldwide "in the coming days," so check whether yours has it.

For your business: connect Google Business Profile first. One owner in Google's post, who runs a burger shop and butcher counter in New Jersey, uses it between shifts to track how the shop shows up on Search and Maps and to write weekend updates. If reviews eat your time, pair it with my saved prompt for replying to Google reviews.

Oracle and OpenAI put $12,000 a year in cloud credits into a small business bundle. Oracle announced the Oracle AI SMB Bundle at its AI World event on October 27. Approved businesses get $12,000 in Oracle Cloud credits each year for up to three years, a one-time $50 ChatGPT credit per person for up to five people, and free tiers of NetSuite QuickStart (invoices, bills and cash flow) and Oracle App Composer (up to 100 app launches a month). Oracle reviews every application and says spots are limited.

For your business: the cloud credits pay for hosting on Oracle's cloud, so they only help if you're building software. If you run a service business, the free NetSuite QuickStart tier for invoices and cash flow is the part you'd use. The application page doesn't list a funding requirement. The Grok program in my last email required investors.

Google's newest model is out, but you can't use it yet. Google announced Gemini 4 Carbon on October 28 and calls it its strongest model, built for security work and long coding jobs. For now only a group of security teams has access. Google says businesses and consumers get it "as soon as possible," at an introductory API price of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, rising to $4 and $20 later.

For your business: nothing to do yet. The Gemini app still runs Gemini 4 Argon, which I covered on October 16.

Use it this week: find the customers you forgot to answer

About 15 minutes. Connect your email and calendar first: iCloud or Gmail in ChatGPT, Gmail in Claude, or Google Workspace in Gemini. Then paste this:

❝

Look through my email from the last 14 days. Find every message from a customer, lead or vendor that I haven't replied to yet. Skip newsletters, receipts and automatic notifications.

Give me a list, oldest first: who it's from, what they asked for, and how many days they've been waiting.

Then check my calendar for the next 7 days and find three open 30-minute slots during business hours.

For each person on the list, draft a short, friendly reply in plain English. Answer their question if the email thread has what you need. If they want a call or a visit, offer the three open times. Wherever you'd be guessing, like a price or a date, write [CHECK] so I fill it in.

Don't send anything and don't change my calendar. Show me the drafts so I can edit and send them myself.

Send the oldest one first, and read every draft before it goes out, especially prices and dates.

Hit reply and tell me how many unanswered emails it found. I read every reply, and what you send decides what I cover next Friday.

Matt

P.S. The free library has both guides from this email, plus the rest of my step-by-steps.
